I've only recently gotten into
digital art. While I was growing up, I experimented with pencil, pastels, oils, acrylics,
pen and ink and whatever else I could draw with. Never could create the images I saw in my
mind the way I saw them. Then I came across Bryce when I was supporting the launch of
Chandra from the Kennedy Space Center (see my other
site). The beach was fun, but I wanted to do something creative in my off time. A friend suggested Bryce and I was immediately hooked. Now, whatever my mind could dream up was really possible to create. I've gotten better as I've experimented but there is a long road ahead to get to where I want to be. |
| As you see in my gallery, I have, of late, a tendancy to work on aviation art (the influence
of my Navy days). I go through phases though, and do whatever my muse dictates, so you will
see a variety of themes. Once in a while something takes off and works out just right.
Flora Metallica turned into a desktop theme that can be found on several sites. I've
gotten awards for several of my works and that has been quite an encouragement to continue
to improve. I have no particular style, though I try for unusual angles and compositions in my av/art... views you're not likely to see in a photo. I am starting to work on figure themes. My friend, Will Kramer thinks I should give it a try. So, I'll be posting more in that arena when I think I have something worthwhile. I've got a long way to go before I'm as good as he. Check out his site, it will be worth your time. When I'm not pushing pixels or trouble-shooting satellites, I'm riding Rascal (the guy with 4 legs in the picture). He's a most sensible animal, doesn't spook easily, loves to run, and has learned to trust my rein. I hope you enjoy your visit to my site.
