Debbie

I knew Debbie as Brycetech and then only through an occasional e-mail, her posts to the newsgroups and forums and her tutorials. Her tutorials...she taught me more through those than I would have ever learned on my own.

Whatever Bryce skill I've acquired, I owe mostly to her.

One can tell a lot about a person by their deeds. Debbie's showed she was generous to others with the precious little time she had, modest about her talent and awards, witty with her comments and fiesty in her drive to further Bryce. She loved this wonderful little program.

What one doesn't do is also telling about their character. Very few knew what she was facing, for she never let on. The only hint we got was when she posted her last work. All she said was that it would be her last, and then asked for comments on it. I hope she got to read them all.

In spite of all she was going through, she answered her e-mail, added to her tutorials, created more lovely pictures, helped and guided others. It would have been an honor to have been in her presence just once.

She will be missed and remembered.

One thing she asked was not to be mourned. I'm sorry, Deb. You ask the impossible.
